Free article by Gary James correcting myths/errors

Thanks to everyone who has looked at the article. It's has over 1,000 reads/downloads so far (which is excellent for an academic article). The most any article in that journal has is about 13,000 - a long way off that of course but it'd be great if we could get close. If I remember correctly there were no mid week competitions for City in the 1950s therefore the club arranged Wednesday night prestigious friendlies. Games against Torino and Hearts were popular. Strange that both these clubs wear Maroon which was also the colour of City second kit.I don't know if Bobby Kennedy came to us via these friendlies.
