British gas came out to check mine, said there was too much shit in the walls to do it and never bothered checking the loft.
Then a little private company came knocking offering the same, explained about british gas but they went ahead and sorted the loft for me anyway.

B.G. have the contract to supply the insulation ,we are paying for it all in the rising costs of fuel. They subcontract the work out. Same way when they give you a lightbulb ,they have saved the cost of building a new power plant . Turn down your heating stat, saves money .. Yes and demand for fuel .So they dont have to build another plant (creating more jobs ) Marketting is brilliant ;) saves them millions !

They Don't subcontract it out, it's inhouse

Unlucky working for carillion ,they are an awful company to do work for mate. Be very wary getting paid up off them they tried screwing a lot of subcontractors . My mate works for energywise /energywatch or something or other based up in Geordieland he is a B.G. employee they set up call centres up and down the country. We are already paying for the grants that used to be called CERTS , they the govt. just changed the name , the deadline 2014 is round the corner so , "only ten more weeks to claim this offer" ;) change name to energybotch and rebrand it to exclusive offer .
B.g is partnered up with rockwool in bridgend that has a factory making the insulation out of plastic milk bottles that are recycled ,check out the subsidised insulation they have on offer in b & poo read the label ( b.g.) the one you cant use on a new build . So we have a French company B.g. and a german co. npower selling us insulation we have already paid for , lol

Is cavity wall insulation good for your walls or not ???
