The only (BIG) problem with the esteemed font of knowledge is the players AGREED to the changes in their contracts. They may have agreed under duress, but they agreed, end of.

It wasn’t over the reminder of his contract but through Covid? That’s now done and they owe him millions of contractually agreed money that they are trying to wriggle out of to sign more players?
