Frenkie de Jong

I’ll be perfectly honest, I haven’t seen a great deal of him. From what I gather he’s similar to Gundo, good in tight areas, dictates play but is also good going forward.

My only concern is that I feel we should be targeting a midfielder that is different to anything else we’ve got. Big, strong, athletic type, bit of a nasty twat that the fans love straight away. Bellingham sort of fits the bill and also Tchouameni.

I can see Gundo leaving as he looked finished last night, he was struggling big time. We can’t afford to carry passengers in our squad, every player needs to be bang on it.

I just don't see FDJ transfer happening unless Bernardo is leaving. I really hope he doesn't leave.Don't see De jong be happy playing Gundogan minutes here if he came, also we have Grealish and Foden who are more midfielders than wide players. It would be very difficult to make them all happy.

Way I see it is Rodri / FDJ then Bernardo / KDB / FDJ midfield with the likes of McAtee, Foden, Grealish all getting minutes there if needed

Is he capable of playing in a DM role? People on twitter are saying he is mainly an attacking midfielder and needs a double pivot to be an effective DM.
