Yes, that'll be his thinking, bloody hell. I used to hang around the match thread 'til the team was announced and the thread turned to shit,now I'll have to start bailing out when the rumours start.

How do they work this out? Legit?

The teams have to submit their team sheets to the ref a few hours before the game.

There are a few copies of these team sheets.

The lad who got a thread on here about attending 1,000 games in a row the other week, Ste Page (don’t know if he still does this?), used to wait outside the ground (every ground!) for the team to arrive and was given one of the copies of the team sheet by City staff for every game for years. So he’d know the team before it was announced.

There may well be other ways people find out n’all. Mates of Pep or someone else.
