If you use THIS formation Fullham will have no chance.
At 60 min sub Kolarov for Jovetic and SIlva for Navas. If needed you can bring Negredo in.

Our hot scorer in away fixtures (Dzeko) will get his space in this one.

I dont know who takes a seat....two strikers up front.
Yep, I'd change Negredo for Dzeko but keep the rest of that team but maybe have Nasri switching places with Silva to help Jimmy more. Possibly Navas out the right but couldn't say who I'd drop.

When's Nastasic back?

Why not play both Negredo/Dzeko? I think Fulham is the game to do it...not intimidated by them. One up front for Liverpool though..?

They're two good strikers but not a partnership.

Jovetic and even Nasri could play behind or up with Dzeko if needs be while keeping the option of a strong midfield and as we're away I'd rather we focus on winning that battle first.

They're shit together Dzeko and Negredo

The 4-2-3-1 has worked brilliantly against Leicester, Munich and in the majority of the second half against Arsenal. Seems to get the best out of Silva and Fern has more license to get forward.

Not that bothered who leads the line against Fulham, Negredo has been brilliant this season while Dzeko has looked good playing as the lone striker. Negredo would get the nod if it was up to me though.

Where has this typical Bluemoon myth of Negredo and Dzeko can't play together come from? One of the major posters says it then everyone in the forum starts repeating it... Correct me if I'm wrong but they have only played 1 game together...

This is what I wonder as well.

They played one game together (against Newcastle I believe) - and as I recall, they kicked arse together...

Now they are "shit" together....based on what?

I forgot that one. Because jovetic started and then went off early. The villa game was the one I was thinking. So 3 goals in 2 games (2 for dzeko, 1 negredo)

Played together at Villa and were poor together.

As for that Newcastle game, they "kicked arse" to the tune of 0-0 for 90 minutes.

Neither will see their strengths played to with the other alongside them.

Pantilimon

Boyata
Kompany
Demichellis
Clichy

Silva
Yaya
Fernandinho
Nasri

Negredo
Dzeko

They did link up for the first goal at Newcastle and have score 3 goals in 2 games. Its also a bit harsh to judge it on two away games when the team just doesn't perform as well. I can recall aguero and negredo being poor at sunderland and southampton.

I don't think you can really say their partnership paid dividends at Villa with Dzeko's goal coming via a set piece.

The other 2 goals took until extra time to get.

Like I said they're two good strikers who can score goals but a partnership they are not.

Why do people keep putting Hart to start, I very much doubt he will, Pants has not done enough wrong and Joe not enough right to Justify it

And like i said, it's a bit harsh to judge the partnership on two away games where the whole team played poorly. I would also like to point out, in those games we didn't play our first choice midfield with only one of silva and nasri playing, and only playing for a short time.

And?

That's the point of a partnership, they can play off each other. You see that with Negredo and Aguero.

Neither Dzeko or Negredo can really play to each others strengths.

Force of habit mate. I didn't even think about it. I'd have Panti too.

Also the reason it's one of Dzeko and Negredo has nothing to do with whether they can play together. Fact of the matter is we have 5 midfielders better than both of them- and 5 in midfield gives us more chance of a result.

And what?

I've seen aguero and negredo play poorly in away games. I've mentioned them above. They haven't played off each other then and they had the first team beind them.

The point is your judging they can't work together from 2 away games where a lot of first team didn't play. I know people like to come to snap judgements on this forum, but you know, I like to give it a few games before coming to a conclusion.

It's not 2 games it's the 2 players style of play and strengths.

Your belief people are basing it solely off of 2 games is more a snap judgement than anything tbf.
