Even allowing for Gareth Barry's goal, I'm fuming. I've just rang up for my Bayern seat only to be told it's gone. They only went on sale four days ago! Apparently, any season ticket holder can buy anyone else's seat regardless of whether they're a season ticket or not... and from day one!

Surely this can't be right???

Why should the club withhold your seat for sale if you're not on the cup scheme?

I noticed at the start of the season that by joining the scheme you guarenteed your seat for all games, made me think that by not joining the scheme you may not have a period to reserve your own seat.

No, I'm not on the Cup Scheme and I've never been on it. Never needed to be and besides, I'll probably have to miss a couple this season. Call me old fashioned, but I was under the - false - impression that you'd get a few days to claim your seat. And they don't text you any more with confirmation - another modern innovation, no doubt.

Sounds like it must be a decent seat, which is WHY you should have joined the Cup Scheme!

Did you check with the ticket office at the start of the season what the criteria was for guaranteeing your seat for cup games? Did they say you'd have a guaranteed period of x days in which to claim your seat before it would be sold on? If they did, then get after them.
