Ok i know its morbid as you can get but everyone has an idea of what they want played, was talking to my mate tonight who was talking about his.....so what is yours ?

Corny though it is, I love the song Oh Danny Boy so that's what I have written I'd like at mine.

My dad had "My Way" and "We are the Champions" which suited him (he had a perfect funeral)

A rocker friend of ours who died in tragic circumstances had "Don't Fear the Reaper" and it was very strange to have a packed Abbey belting that out ;) Very fitting though.

My dad was ex Royal Navy or the `Andrew` as he called it, he was a very popular man and had many friends, and a tough act to follow, a great dad, he got the send off exactly as he requested, a mix of military and civillian, we had a piper walk in front of the cortege to the chapel, then a range of military band music, but he wanted something to break the ice at the end of the service so he had us play Queens `Another one bites the dust` that did the trick everyone could`nt help but laugh or smile, but the absolute clincher for me was right at the end, it chokes me up every time now, as we stood over his coffin watching him being lowered into the grave.......

Our dads must have been separated at birth! My dad had the same but for being army not navy, and cremated not buried. The last post as the curtain closed set me off too!

Not too sure about them being seperated at birth as he would`nt talk to `PONGO`s` ........ only joking. Where`s your dad from originally ? BTW sorry you lost one of your guards (coldstream) last week, it must feel awful for you and your husband everytime news like that breaks.
