You know what it’s a funny old game all the same. I don’t personally know who it was took the time to design this site. But I for one want to thank them. SO thank you.
This weekend’s results have been if not funny then look like they are the final plot in a script from Hollywood. The bookies must have had a great weekend on the top six and there is more to come.
It’s been a long season thinking back to the start and some of the crazy results that city had and a bit of a shaky start to the season. Comprising of a long list of draws that seen one manager depart. The ambition seemed to be to finish 6th at the start of the season then it became 4th. Now call me old fashioned but its my opinion that finishing first should always be our ambition. But that’s just me. Settling for 6th or 4th seems to smell of a lack of belief in oneself.
But if someone had asked me at the start of the season if the league stands as it is today and city was where it is today would I take it. I would have bitten their hand off for it.
If this weekends results in the premier ship tells us anything it has to be that there are no guarantees in football and that on any given day any team can win or have that bit of luck that sends the sure thing down the drain. But as the season draws to a close and the world cup comes around one has to wonder what new unknown player will be the new golden boy.
I read today that Rooney has been offered £150 K a week new head transplant not included. See money cannot buy everything.
So what of City yes a 4th place and some part to play in Europe would be great. If only for the two reasons that every one wants to be there. It attracts new players and it seems to be the goal of all teams to finish in the top 4. There as far as I am concerned is the problem with it. The top 4 thing again. Teams seem happy to finish in the top 4.
So maybe they should make it the top 3 or 2. Raze that ambition bar just a tad.

Thanks for the roller coaster ride that been a fan of yours brings. For the wins that bring the fucking brilliant feeling. For the heart palpitations the near misses brings. But most of all for the horrible feeling that defeat brings. Its that horrible feeling brought by defeat is the most important emotion of them all it’s the one that gives us the belief that we can do better and the next game we will win again.
So thanks City. Its football it’s the way it is.
