Must admit to not being that enamoured with him initially with the falling over and staying down but your post does make sense of that. He's definitely staying up more now too so I'm guessing that's from the coaching staff. About £28 million I think we paid which is a ridiculous bargain nowadays.In Brazil, the typical game involved Jesus being fouled pretty much every time he got the ball, some of them red or yellow card level challenges & pretty much half of them not given as anything, even the bad ones.
If he didn't chuck himself over when fouled, he never got a free kick full stop, so he basically got the ball, got fouled, threw himself over, holding his leg & the ref would randomly award some as fouls.
Imo, he can go up a level by staying on his feet more over here, as he's a strong, skillful kid & sometimes the ball moving on would be better than winning the free kick ( which he doesn't get half the time anyway).
