Pretty disappointed with his development. Of course he hasn't had a normal run of games and Sergio is in fantastic form but he seems like he's stagnated a bit. He's now clearly a 2nd choice striker with no signs to start the vital games.

Disappointed in a 21 year old who has 40 goals for his club in 85 games??

I honestly think that 18/24 months ago the plan was to phase Aguero out with Jesus stepping up. The fact that Aguero stepped his game up to Peps required level and Jesus has had a few setbacks means we are where we are and both are valuable to us.

If Jesus was doing any better, we'd have a problem because Aguero's got another 2 seasons in him and a better young striker than Gabby wouldn't wait around.

I have 100% confidence he'll carry on scoring at a great rate and step up to being a 30 goal a season striker when we need him to start.

You genuinely think Kun has 2 left in him???

I hope so, however I’d say one with Jesus being the main man after that, otherwise there could be an issue, 4 and half years as an understudy would be a bit much... anyway, fully expect him to dethrone the king in that time (:

Yeah I think he's got 1 more at the top, and then potentially one where he fades a bit half way through and gets surpassed. Think Sergio will get to 400 games for us.

I think Jesus will finish next season as the #1 striker.

Aguero is still only 30 (will turn 31 at the end of the season), he is in his prime. Especially if you consider that earlier in the season Pep mentioned that Aguero had been playing with pain in his knees for like a year, then he went to Cugat and now his knees feel like brand new.

He will easily be playing at the top level for us for the next 2 seasons, and not unreasonable to expect a 3rd as well (he would be 33 at the start of his 3rd season) but he'd be phased out by this 3rd year.

Obviously if he just decides to leave (back to Argentina) earlier than that is out of our control, but people underestimate his renewed vitality.
