I didn’t get the hype when he first arrived, not just from us lot but from the media and ex pros as well. I thought I must if been missing something and I had Leroy down as twice the player and twice the potential.
2 years later and I’m still to be convinced. I don’t think his finishing is good enough. I don’t think his touch is good enough, I don’t think his football brain is intelligent enough and the amount of sloppy offisides every game drive me insane.

Sorry to upset all you "ah but he's only 21" apologists, he's not living up to the hype IMO. I hope he proves me wrong but at the moment he's not doing enough as a striker.

Oh, you’re not upsetting anyone. Because anyone who knows anything about football will just laugh at your post.

He works his best with Sané & Sterling, but he was still very very good last night. A hand in two goals, immense work ethic and a constant threat.
He needs a run of games, a couple of goals. He’s an exceptional team player and it’s no surprise a good few of our land mark performances have come with Jesus starting.
 
I thought we looked more dangerous with his pace and fluidity last night.

He allows us to shift positions as he is comfortable all across the forward line.
 
Th run he made for the third goal was brilliant - played really well last night and was a constant menace. Great to see him start and it also gives Aguero a week off before Spurs. Will only get better as he gets older and he gets to learn and train with some truly world class players.

I'm the same. to this day I haven't watched his YouTube clips to really understand what people were excited about

He looked good for the first few weeks/months but since then has looked bang average, in a very good team

Jesus always seems to be a day late ad a dollar short, a nearly man if you will. Yeah, he works hard and movement is good but he's playing for the Champions League favourites, I'd expect a little more. His best contribution yesterday was basically running away from the action so someone better could score!

That maybe a bit harsh as he's only 21 but, it's just not happening for him and if Aguero goes down I think we have had it

That last bit doesn't stand up to scrutiny if we're to base it on when Aguero sat games out last season.

Would you feel comfortable having Jesus playing upfront as Aguero is injured from say the start of March to mid-April, because I wouldn't be

Last season was last season and he seems to be going backwards

His finishing needs work, I'll grant you but enough reason to believe his current struggles in that regard are temporary.

General team performance is unaffected by Jesus' inclusion, we still create and score as many.

Aguero was out from mid March until season's end last time out and we still produced with Jesus scoring 5 in our last 8 in the league. ( scored against Liverpool too in CL and had one wrongly disallowed at Anfield too).

I hope you are right because as history shows us, Aguero is likely to get a 4-6 week injury at some point
 
His finishing obviously needs to get much better however you cannot fault his work ethic and link up play.
