Works his bollocks off this kid.

Gone of the boil for me though. Doesn’t look like he’s got a goal in him and looks very lacking in confidence in those chance to score moments.

Hopefully he just needs a couple of goals and he’ll relocate his mojo.

His finishing does look a little lie in confidence, but that contradicts his all round play.
The turn he did today that left his man for dead was that of a man of confidence. Similar at Anfield. His finish again Shaktah.

Think he just needs a run, think he looks at his best with De Bruyne’s more direct passing from deep and Sané & Sterling our wide.

He is obviously quality as proven last season but he is having a very hard time at the moment. His confidence is in the gutter.

He is simply not fitted for a striker position. Do not get me wrong, the lad has skills but lacks the greediness and ice-cold mood of a typical centre-forward. I am afraid that he could cost us important games if he keeps missing chances. I hope Pep will recruit a world class goal scorer to rotate with Aguero.

31 starting appearances for 21 goals and 9 assists in the premier league , including assists a better record than Sergio over the same period of time.

At present we have two world class strikers and the one you think is not fitted for the striking position is one of them.

You were probably writing off Sterling, Bernardo and Sane before they had played 50 games for City.

If he keeps that rate up over his City career he will become our all time leading scorer.

I dmit that I was under the same impression when Raheem joined, I hope Jesus will prove me wrong as well.It is just that I do not see it coming despite his undeniable talent. Again, I hope he will make me eat my words and be capable of filing Aguero shoes in the future.

Thought he worked hard and contributed well. He's clearly lacking sone confidence in front of goal, but he's only young and I'm sure he's going to be a very good player. Possibly not a great one, but that shouldn't be the yardstick against which he's measured.

Pep knows what he's doing. That's good enough for me.

all around game is fine just in front of goal at the moment he has ni confidence. think he would be a very good midfielder

He’s starting to worry me. His general play is fantastic but he constantly looks like he “just needs a goal” that never comes. If he’s happy being our second striker for the rest of his career then I’m less concerned, because you could trust him in an away game like last night to put a shift in when necessary, but I’m not sure he has it in him to improve his instincts to the level we need him to be when Sergio goes. I still think he’s good and he’s a worthy deputy to Sergio right now, but he’s looking less and less like a future replacement...

A bid for moddom?

His general all round play is pretty good but not exceptional. Let's be honest, he hasn't played well, for more than 1 or two games, for 18 months. Yes he has had injuries and yes he is young but that being the case I don't think he should be our 2nd striker

I said at the start of the season that if Aguero goes down for 6-8 weeks then we are in big trouble and I have seen nothing to change my mind

He hasn't looked like scoring for 12 months. He obviously has scored in that time but he never looks a threat to the opposition, the odd bit of skill apart

I am being harsh but I think the drop off is so obvious when he plays it is hard not to be

What the fuck does this fraud know?

Pep Guardiola on Gabriel Jesus: "It's important he had the chances, creating the spaces, and the second goal he create for himself. [He] does many, many other things, in terms of the pressing, in terms of helping in many, many situations."

Sorry but this is just a stupid post and one which completely goes against the point of having a thread to discuss performances.

Jesus hasn't played well for a long, long time. He looks completely ineffective and is being easily shackled by defences. One Premier League goal this season is a dire return.

Do you actually believe that Pep is happy because he's making space? I don't for one minute and see it as Pep trying to improve his confidence. His reaction to the missed chances last night summed it up.

He runs about a lot and not much else - could not lead the line for a series of games if Aguero was out injured
