Just watched him at Hyde. What a top player this lad will be. I know it's poor opposition but he looked a class apart with his technique. Hopefully get on the bench for us soon.
To be fair a lot of our players look very good. Denis Suarez and our number 6, a centre back. Not sure of his name.

Another note city fans don't change. I have the same thing sat behind me in the south stand at eastlands but here some behind me were Really slagging off mancini jnr. Shouting things like "play on the fast lane of a motorway", this was pretty constant. With his team mates and roberto sat within hearing range. Also when roberto got up to leave they shouted "take ur son with you". Is it needed?

Some fans are never happy mate. We could win everything etc etc and people would still find something to moan about. They obviously have got short memories and don't remember our jaunts to Crewe/Wycombe/York etc etc....

Gai does look like he could be a top class player. I also have high hopes for Freddi Veseli, he is another one to watch out for.
 
Can any of the lads who went fill me in on Silva Jnr??

Seen him name pop up once or twice on twitter.

Is he related to David in anyway?? Or any good??

Not related, he's a 19yr old on trial from Benfica. He looked a bit lost when he first came, better tonight but not sure if he'll make it with us.

Did meppen-walter play well? Not seen him play since me and him use to play up front together.
 
Agreed. Thing is I bet the main 4 were over 60! Good atmosphere aside from that. I sat about 2 meters away from that new Dutch centre back of ours, just feels like everyone mixes. I've never had chance to go to one in a while since I haven't lived in Manchester for 10 years but I recommend going to watch an eds game if you haven't before.

The future is definitely bright. The whole back 4 that finished the game which included boyata could be stars.

Did ok yeah, although was busy playing up to some girls for some of it. He's looked decent in the friendlies preseason. Rekik didn't play, he looks to have potential.

Oh and Pantylemons is a massive unit.

Stuff like that annoys me, because most of the time its not moaning, its just something people want to discuss and give construct criticism at. Even if we won it all, I would have loads of things I would want to discuss, because I care about the club, because I don't accept everything, and because I ALWAYS want City to improve.

Yes a few times its moaning, but usually its just someone want to discuss, and people jump on them for sharing their thoughts and throwing abuse at them. Thats so much worse.
 
How did Joan Roman do? He seems to score in every single game he plays... from midfield! Really excited about him.

Came to us injured, got fit, then some English hatchet man destroyed him in an EDS game and sidelined him again. Fit again now and impressing.

I feel we have two players who might soon be able to act as backups.

Assulin and Roman may be useful backups for Nasri and Silva sooner than we think. Assulin should definitely be in contention if he's not loaned out, he is a bit older than the others and has experience, and was on the fringes of the first team squad at Barca when he chose to leave. Suarez is the third of the uber-talented young attacking midfielders we have but is a little younger so may come through later.

He only came in December last year.
 
both Meppen-Walker and Rekik (looks like he didn't play today) are either 16 or 17 and already very bright prospects. Add in that Roman, Assulin, Razak, and Suarez are all top prospects, hopefully one or two of them make it here eventually.

How did Scapuzzi do?
