I know I'm likely to be spat at for the last one but I have valid reasons!!

1. It would really piss the reds off
2. He's quality - best player on the pitch in the derby by a mile
3. and I honestly think he would come! All we have to do is offer them the money, they're in shed loads of debt, give it a try!

I've gone for experience but quality aswell! Xabi Alonso is class and would be perfect alongside a defensive midfielder.

Ambitious i know but every one of them would be tempted. Bruno Alves is looking for a move this summer to a bigger club and if we can prove our ambition who know's. Eto'o although being an awesome player and topping the scoring charts in spain still doesnt get on with guardiola. Xabi alonso / Gareth barry is a little more complicated, we could go for Barry but if he wants to go to the dippers we could clear the way by taking alonso off there hands. Finally we come to silva and after liverpool annouced they dont want to do a deal no more after valencia officials leaked to the media so i think we could nip in there and win the race for his signature.
