can you and how do you use gamecube controllers on the wii..ie how does the wii recognise the controllers..

I think you just plug it into the front of the console. But it will only work with certain games.

Only works with Gamecube games, or any classic games you download from the Wii shop.

But if you open the flap on the top of the console the four ports are there. Start your GC game as you would any other game using the Wiimote, then use the GC controller to play the GC game.
