This is another of those "Spurs link themselves to major footballing name before not signing them" stories. Every transfer window is the same, Spurs release a story to a media contact that says "World Class player A is on the verge of a move to Spurs", Spurs fans get all moist at the prospect and giddy with excitement, thus keeping them quiet and maintaining the myth that they are a major footballing power, then the deal never happens and they sign Sebastian Bassong.

we seem to be targetting a cm for the summer just wanted to know what peoples opinion of him would be if we signed him.

im asking because i think hes almost certain to move as santos have confirmed that gabigol will be wearing his number 10 shirt in 2013 and there president has already said he can leave. hes outstanding imo but hes gone of the rails as people seem to be influencing him(third party) i think mancini can get the best out of him as he was known for being a great lad who worked really hard i think its an outside possibility but i would welcome it.

Overated, seen him play for brazil and he did nothing. Always injured too, probably going to end up in Italy although I think but can't really remember whether he and Porto were considering a deal, pretty sure I read that somewhere.
