Cheers for posting the lyrics to WT reminds me of the 1st album which I got as a repress years after its release.
I.. maybe.. should have made it clear it's the Shakespeare play A Winters Tale where the Red Kite reference comes from ...
Going back to early Genesis though..'In Limbo' followed by "The Silent Sun' are fantastic tracks,imo.
There is another track I rate but can't remember it now.
Magpies are fantastic birds.I get why some folk think they are nasty killers of other birds and their eggs but they are not alone..The thugs of the crow world.
They steal all the coconut feeders we put out and when they aren't doing that they are attacking and sometimes eating the smaller birds. They are clever buggers though I will give them that.
I do like Red Kites though - they are becoming less and less rare in Scotland.
All bastards. Particularly the Grey Her on. Hate those buggers. Don’t get me started about the Scottish bloody Wildcat.Magpies are fantastic birds.I get why some folk think they are nasty killers of other birds and their eggs but they are not alone..
Other killers of song and ground nesting birds in Britain include;
The Grass Snake,Grey Squrrel,Red Fox,Badger, Brown Rat, The Great Grey Shrike Jackdaw,Carrion crow,Raven, Jay,Honey Buzzard, Grey Her on,Otter, Mink ,Stoat,Weasel Sottish Wildcat,Polecat
Pike,Peregrine Falcon,Sparrowhaw,Goshawk,
Merlin( Inc Kaz,s Cat) Hobby,Kestrel,Great Black backed Gull,Herring Gull,Lesser black backed Gull,Hedgehog..many more probably..
Magpie is the bad guy tho!!
Lots of the above are silent killers so understandable they go unnoticed by humans
Herons are crafty buggers. Woodpeckers are sneaky chick killers too.All bastards. Particularly the Grey Her on. Hate those buggers. Don’t get me started about the Scottish bloody Wildcat.

We had a big cat that would bring rabbits in the house too, she could jump a long way with one in her mouth. Once in she'd get bored with it and we'd have to chase the damn things downIs he a big boy ? He is normal size but very strong and quick, killed three squirrels, numerous pigeons and rats and of course the massive fish out of someones pond! NutterIs he a big boy ? I remember our cat years ago bringing rabbits from the railway embankment and they were nearly as big as him
