War’s broken out on the feeder, the ‘Evening Grosbeaks’ just showed up

Just spoke to the badger people and she said they can inflict terrible wounds on it each other , it should heal but if it gets infected to call them back and they will come

I said he has seperated himself from the others and eats alone and she said that is normal and it might drift away altogether if it is getting bullied, poor zabba , gutted for him, he was an aggressive baby but clever , still climbs up to the window . Went eyeball to eyeball with merlin the other night , merlin was thumping the window and had his big fighting tail on , twas funny

Gutted that the normally well behaved badgers are doing this , wildlife eh

A fox walked by my missus at the clothes line, yesterday at 12:30 in the afternoon with the dog stretched out asleep on the patio.
It climbed the wall and got through an unbelievable gap in the fence and walked the top of the wall between ours and next doors fence and out onto the road in front.
They have cat-like agility.
She was gobsmacked.

The Fox,in reality,is more related to The Cat Family ,not dog.
They are said to be able to effectively hunt..in long grass..for voles mice etc...by remainimg still,listenimg hard,and then ,..without actually seeing nearby prey...Jump up on the air ,all four feet at same time,..and land exactly upon the suprised Prey.
Never seen it happen,but seen many other more Feline based characteristics.

Fascinating seeing the activity in the garden this morning.

Had interest of blue tits looking at 1 bird box again, which seems popular. Not sure if they mark it as there own. However got another fixed to an Oak tree at back of garden and activity with that one as well.

Relocated bird feeder last week and it’s attracted goldfinch for first time.

We've got great tits building their nest in our birdbox and blue tits doing likewise (again) in a disused overflow pipe cavity on the side of the house.

After saying goodbye to the grey wagtail that's been coming in the garden every day for 6 months we still have 3 male reed bunting all over the bird table and ground food. Apparently the female reed buntings build the nests so these are probably just arsing about until the ladies have finished their work.
