Gareth Bale announces his retirement

He will do for me, taking Wales to a semi final of a major tournament & matching what England, with all their resources, have ever done at a major tournament where they didnt play every game at home.
All the very best Gareth, thanks, especially for 2016

For a year or two, he was definitely at the top of the game amongst a few others.

His impact in champions league finals shouldn’t be understated.

He was, as GDM said, an athlete first. Once his body couldn’t keep up, he was always going to decline rapidly.

That year he signed for Madrid, amongst a few others joining them (Ronaldo a few years prior), and Munich, had some interesting time frames for muscle mass increase.

No chance he’ll make it to even the satellite Pro Golf Tour. He plays off 2, you need to be around plus 4 these days. It’s like a 100m sprinter improving by half a second, it ain’t happening.
LIVGolf will give him 100m just for the clicks and advertisement.

A superb player and one of the best British players of his generation. Won it all.

The last few years went sour for him, but Madrid have always bullied players and other teams for players and to leave, now people are standing up to them and Barcelona. He simply didn't give a shit, top lad.
