Gareth Bale

I think it was Micah after the home game v Tottenham last season who said he's the best player he's played against. He'd give us a whole new dimension to our game and something we don't have.

Exactly. Like I say, for me he's similar as a threat to Ronaldo, so £50 million compared to the cost of getting the show pony from Madrid would represent bloody good business - and hes younger.
As for FFP, where there's a will there's a way; a club doesn't have to break even, only show the trend is downwards.

except he scores 10 times less..

he's very good player though but that above you wrote is proper "bol ox"

No, I don't mean threat as in he scores anywhere near as often (a direct goal scoring threat). I'm not daft enough to compare them as goal scorers, honest.

I mean threat as in when he runs at midfielders or defenders with the ball at his feet, the panic he causes, and the risk of conceding a goal rockets up. I haven't got any stats on his assists, but when he runs at defences I do maintain his threat level is similar. I'll also add that if/when he becomes available I think it very likely that Ronaldos current club or their main rival will be interested in signing him.

Ronaldo's overall impact on Real's play is small, he finishes a lot of chances, but Oezil, di Maria and Benzema do most of the trickery etc. So I don't think comparing their threat is similar in that way, I think Bale is a bit one-dimensional anyway, I'd certainly prefer Isco who is more about deception and pure skill.

Fair enough, but none of those 3 remind me of Ronaldo in the same way Bale does. For me i think it's about them having similar stature, physique, running speed, directness with the ball at their feet, and a quality end product.

Gotta be honest, I've never heard of Isco! But I do think what we could happy do with a bit more of is pace.

I can understand your point since the Premier League is based more on these abilities, plus he got 18 assists last season according to the PL's official site and 12 goals, maybe a good idea I suppose.

Edit: It includes all competitions, something it failed to tell me, but 18 in all competitions is impressive nonetheless.

I know, I was there but that's not correct.. it's probably done by some third party and done very wrong.. Only 3 players had sum of goals and assists 30 or more last year - Van Persie, Rooney and Aguero. And Adebayor was behind them.

I've saw 9 goals and 12 assists for him on other sites, that's probably what he had done.

It's a no for me. That celebration is fucking wank

I'm sure people at City are considering celebration stuff and your views about it when they're after some players :))

could sort out our problem with the left side of midfield, would give us pace and an outlet. He does n't play well all the time but he would likely give his full-back better protection than Aguero, Nasri and Balotelli. As long as he is n't allowed to roam infield he could allow us to win games in Europe despite not playing well.

I thought I read on here this week that he had roughly the same stats as A.J as far as goals and assists. Anyway, I can't stand him and think he is massively overated.

Must have read wrong then.

How is he over hyped/overrated though?

Scored again Us, Man Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea.. basically all the big teams and is one of the top scorers in UEFA World cup qualifying. For a 23 year old winger, I can't find a way to call him over rated.

People are rating him on here at 70 - 75m. That's massively overated.
