I still think this is who the £50 million bid is for.

If Real Madrid were offered €70 million this summer for Bale, I'm almost certain they'd take it.

I really hope youre right. Pisses all over Sterling.

At the same age that's not true though is it, sterling is European young footballer of the year whilst at 20 Spurs were trying to flog bale for 2 or 3m.

Anyone who thinks sterling is like Lennon has no place watching a game they don't understand .

I agree bale is better but he wasn't at 20 and bale is in his prime , sterling 5 years before it.

I'd get both !

If united get bale then let's sign di Maria who was clearly better for Madrid though I expect it will be a swap

1) we have to finish in the top 4, ad 2 we could sign Bale and we'd still be rubbish. The team has no organisation or belief. They'll have to work really hard in training over defensive drills, but it looks like that's slowly faded over the months and all the good habits from Mancini have gone.

God knows what we do in training. I bet it's nothing more than pass and move.

I'm surprised you're ambitious enough to include move.

Idolised Giggs then Ronaldo as a young glory hunting red twat, one of Adidas' main endorsees, who this summer will be taking over as their kit manufacturer. Realistically, what appeal do we have to that will make us choose them over us?

He's not $amir Nasri who we can just throw more money at to ensure his signature; he's a top-level footballer who's already impressive wealth will be enhanced by whatever our rivals can offer him. If not the rags it'll be Chelsea; also Adidas, Premier League champions, London club.

Sterling is more our level of player; potentially elite but requires patience and good guidance to get there, a lot like our club.

The 'Rags' can bid all they like......it wasn't that aspect of your comment the issue was with.
