Gareth Southgate knighted

There is only one manager who has won trophies for england in recent times , time for a woman to take charge

It is time
Nice one Kaz. Did you get many?

Soccer should be indoors and on a huge shaggy woollen carpet. Also the ball should be made of velvet. And there should be loads of butterflies at all times.

You guys live down a deep rabbit hole.

Sam Allardyce, sacked after 6 months, 1 match against slovenia that we only just won.... more successful than Southgate?

Whatever. You carry on work your alternate version of the world where win rate means more than getting to finals.
....and there lies the problem with stats, I was merely giving an alternative response to you believing that what he has achieved (or not) making him a good coach....there's a bigger picture!!
What you think, and my response, could be argued either way, so if you want people to leave their 'rabbit hole'....take your head out of the sand ;)

Maybe they are afraid she might win us a trophy , make them look like fools going through every man in the country
You really think that??

I can't see that at all.
In fact, with their cries of "diversity" I think they would love it!

If that's true we can stop worrying about Pep's departure.

We'll just get another coach and everything will be fine.
Anyone who can get their philosophy through to a team can be a manager, be it male, female or feline.

Not really sure how many can’t understand that point.

Not many can, but it’s not limited to males.

LOL. Imagine Bellingham listening to a female coach. What nonsense that is.

Controlling and making 11 men listen is hard enough. Doing that with a whole squad must be difficult. We've already seen Southgate send lads home in the past.

I just cannot see a load of millionaire footballers listening to some lady boss them around and bounce tactics when the ladies game is so abysmal in comparison.

England's national side aren't ready for a female coach/manager and it hasn't really worked when a few female coaches started in French football.

I want Pep as England manager, if the timing matches up with next summer, so be it. I want the national team to win something and play football without being allergic to having possession. Alonso is the next big thing, that could be the natural successor
