It’s a fantastic read and I was in tears laughing at times
The club moved up a level after he went and the signings now are better. Sterling, DeBruyne etc.
Could not disagree more. He put us on the map, got people talking about us and ALWAYS fought our case.
His signings on the whole were outstanding.
Ferran Soriano, not sure what to say about the guy,he's like the invisible man.Never heard a word from him, never seen him fight back when as a club we have received press that was libellous and slanderous.
Garry Cook had many faults, but one could never doubt his commitment and passion to Manchester City FC.
The media targeted him because some of his claims at the time were outrageous, but 10 years down the line we are nearly the biggest football club in the world, just as Garrry said.I agree with most of what you say but Soriano is smart enough to get football people in positions to do our talking with other Clubs, regulatory bodies etc whether it was Pat Viera as an ambassador or Txiki as the Director of Football. Garry did loads of good things but the media had really targeted him, often unfairly. For example, he was ridiculed for including a charitable foundation as part of the Kaka offer and now that is quite common in super transfers.
Love the euphemism "comes down my stairs".He doesn't wear anything when he comes down my stairs..
