A brief heads up to let everyone know that I'll be talking about the History of Women's Football in Manchester at the National Football Museum at noon on Wednesday 13th. I know there'll be a few people who think that women's football isn't something they're bothered about but, obviously, I still think there's something here for everyone. I'll be talking about City's women's team of course, but I'll also be talking about the connections between the Blues and various women's teams over the years (these include Hyde Rd, Dave Ewing and Bert Trautmann for example).
As a taster here's an article I've just written on the legendary Manchester Corinthians team: https://www.manchestereveningnews.c...social&utm_campaign=sharebar#comments-section This week would've been a great time for the FA to acknowledge them. I hear they're acknowledging women who played unofficial internationals in the 1970s on Saturday BUT these Mancunian women were representing England in the 1950s - and winning trophies!
