As I left my seat today, I was one of the last out of the stand and spotted Neville on the commentary gantry. Some fan gave him a bit of abuse, but after a steward had ushered him on, I caught Gary's eye and mouthed across to him "what do you think of us now?" whilst giving a thumbs up/thumbs down type gesture. In all fairness to the bloke he smiled, give it the thumbs up and mouthed back "very, very good."

Feels like I'm living in a parallel dimension where everything has be turned upside down.

it's funny how these threads are of amusement to me...

and like a few others, my natural inclination was only one way - and I couldn't for the life of me understand why Sky would have given him that job... but of course they weren't stupid and his work isn't at all bad.

fair play to him so far, he's won a lot of people over with his professionalism; whereas the likes of regulars like Alan Hansen and some of the bias he spouts I think cheapens him, the one we love to hate hasn't so far betrayed any such weakness.

for this I give him respect.

I agree he's a grade a c*nt, but credit where its due he's been a decent commentator, gives a better perspective on the game than gray & tyler ever did and i'd rather listen to this c*nt than Wilkins!

It shows a great character in City fans imo, to appreciate that someone so absolutely foul & loathsome, who has been pretty much the No1 hate figure for many years, can be doing his job well & even compliment the twat on it.

The best defender this country has ever produced, played his whole career under the most successful manager of the modern game so yes why not be our next manager, wouldn't swap him for Roberto but as a replacement ....why not ?, or as the next England manager, what would you all think of him then if we won the world cup under him ??.

If he says something unfair & deliberately shite about City, then yes, of course everbody will be on his case. Why shouldn't they be ?

He has so far not been doing that at all & has been more fair towards City than just about all of the other wankers on TV. That's the point.

Lee so called fucking 'City fan' Dixon, was much more biased towards Arsenal last night than Neville.
