Gay plays at primary school

Don't know what age this was directed at but I'd want to at least be told about it and have the option of my kids participating or not.

I'm sure you would be and you would. You'll find most schools take pains to keep parents informed of school activities.

Given the sensitive, controversial nature of such, that would have been a sensible approach

I wouldn't care myself, but I would support the rights of the parent to decide. The parents involved are clearly homophobic, but he is also spot on with his comments on social engineering.

Sick of a self designated, sanctimonious set of moral guardians who believe they have the right to dictate what's right or wrong and force their views on society.

Would you be reported to the police for merely asking to be consulted on your child's participation?

Schools are publicly owned places. I can't see a problem with members of the public discussing what goes on in them and what they teach or don't teach, on the internet or anywhere else.

It is a bit sinister when a member of the public expressing his dissatisfaction with a public service is spoken to by the police.

Seeing as the police picked out 2 of about 20 parents to speak to I doubt it was for 'questioning their child's participation'. As a parent myself I'd also question the suitability of Facebook as a venue for a discussion with my child's school.

The parent is clearly in the wrong. Well.done to the school.
Probably the same parents who complain when there is a trip to a mosque but don't bat an eyelid to a church visit.

As if school wasn't boring enough they're now making kids sit through a gay friendly workshop play, poor fuckers
