Well if we take it one at a time. I'm sure that JC said he would go with a party vote on spending billions on a nuclear arsenal. His own personal view wouldn't sway decision making.

Borrowing to invest is more of a sensible option than ramping up massive debt with little to show for it with Osbourne. Their is a lot of economists backing the borrowing.

IRA lover?? Sorry you'll have to expand on that as I've no idea what you are taking about.

Diane Abbot is embarrassing. I can see that
If I take your first point on nuclear disarmament, the problem with that argument is Corbyn would, as PM,
be the one with his finger on the trigger, when your enemies know you have no intention of pulling it,
their hand is strengthened somewhat.

Labour's last attempt at 'Investment' resulted in an extra half million public servants.

Google the past quotes of McDonnell about the IRA, his stance is well known.

I'm assuming your not bothered about unlimited immigration, fair enough, but that approach
as a prospective PM is political suicide, recent events should clarify why.

If the nukes start reigning down from the sky we'll never know if the PM is true to their word or not.

As for immigration. I feel that a real left wing leader would want to cap it straight away. Mass immigration just in pure mathematical terms puts a strain on social services and housing. It undermines workers in place because if you won't take the crapper conditions/less wages/Zero Hour contracts then company owners will import people who will do. Any trade union looses enormous power under these conditions. That is why I was under the assumption the communist party of the UK backed Brexit.

I'll read more about McDonnell but given David Camerons views on Nelson Mandela in the 1980's not effecting the judgement of the masses that he could lead.

Listening to 5Live early and Prof John Curtice was on - google him you'll recognise him - he was saying that the current ( at that stage ) Conservative lead over Labour was 11% not the 21% predicted. The larger figure is the landslide predicted but anything down at 11% in the GE translates to a majority of the size she has now..... so despite some suggesting Tory central office can have a break and their campaign team can say job done May knows its all to play for and complacency could yet be her downfall.

I still fancy my £10 bet on a hung parliament is looking good.

Think this election is a major tactical mistake and will bite May on the arse

I think that was sent from your iphone using sillytalk, but we'll see.

Really. Why?

The tories have to do as well as today just to stand still.

Do you seriously believe staunch Labour voters are going to vote for May. Third generation Labourites voting tory.

Add in the remainers who want a different option to Brexit and this election is hard to call an overall majority on.

But thanks for your incisive input

There are and have been many things where I just shook my head and wondered what thought processes were taking place between the main protagonist's ears. Robbie Fowler and the penalty v Boro, and Corbyn putting his name forward to lead the party. Robbie and the rest of us had, until he kicked it, the clearest idea that he was gonna score. But Corbyn? Did he really think he could win a general election with the brand of effluence he keeps peddling?

Probably not. But most of the previous UKIP voters will.

I reckon this will be the biggest landslide ever, the Tories are not great, but there are many former Labour voters myself included who will indeed reluctantly putting a cross next to the Conservatives due to the utterly feeble, un electable bunch of freaks and cretins that make up any alternative. Truly a dismal state of affairs.
