What do you think companies would do faced with an instant fall on profits of 7%? Inflation would go, redundancies would be made and investment would dry up immediately. It is you are wrong, so very wrong.
You're looking at it in a very basic manner that is only appropriate in explaining the matter to primary school children.

I've been pretty depressed of late at the possibility - even if it is an outside one - that Corbyn could conceivably end up being PM. He would be without a shadow an atom of a doubt the worst PM is history of our great country and would do untold damage to that would take years to fix. Everyone would be materially worse off and we'd all be in more danger. A very depressing thought.

However, I was cheered this afternoon talking to some people from Gatley, lifelong Labour supporters all of them. They're tearing their hair out since they've voted at every general election since the 1970's but have said there is no way on planet earth they will vote for Corbyn. They hate the Tories, and they think the LibDems are a waste of time. They are really torn between not voting at all, and swallowing their pride and voting Tory.

Hopefully there's still plenty more who can see what a lying, slimy **** Corbyn really is.

I've gone from thinking he's a principled, if not deluded stupid old fool. To realising he's a lying, cheating, odious twat.

Good for you. Your one vote might just clinch it for Teresa.

Not to mention he started yesterday evening having agreed to not be campaigning yesterday.

If he does get in I will piss myself when the lefties on here realise what utter mugs they've been taken for. It's almost worth it.

J Corbyn, yesterday:
“The Labour party will be suspending national campaigning until this evening, after consultations with other parties, as a mark of respect for those who have died and suffered injury."

As you were, with added correctness.

The LWNJ's will not allow any such thinking on here - but there are a lot of traditional Labour voters (even me) that could vote Labour if it was not for these 'loons' leading the party at the moment. I could not vote for them this time as I want to leave the EU and unless the Conservatives win on Thursday that will not happen.

But I could in the future if they were not led by people so out of touch with the values of the majority of UK citizens. What pisses me off about Corbyn these recent weeks - and his motley crew - is that they get bigged up for being true to their beliefs etc. - where in fact they have been dissembling/prevaricating and if needed lying these last weeks in an attempt to secure votes - are they therefore not just as flawed as the more traditional politicians that they criticise?

I would say it depends on what you would call a typical labour voter, any post late 80's would maybe lean towards the neo liberal new labour and see that as traditional labour, (amd I am not saying that is you btw I am on about other on social media that have said as much) some others would consider this manifesto and direction of the party as a return to traditional labour values.

I don't particulary think jezza is great, but the party values I was brought up on are back and that energises my belief labour can actually be a good force for the country.

I have only been eligable to vote since the 97 election, and this is the first time I feel hope when voting Labour again since

You're the one who is living in dreamland. It could be increased but only very slowly and if Labour don't get the cash pretty quickly there whole economic plan collapses.

If he does get in I reckon we put you on watch for a few days.

At her press conference today May was invited by the Press four times to criticise Trump over his tweet which slagged off Sadiq Khan who of course as Mayor of London is a democratically elected representative of the British people.
She refused.
Disgraceful and weak.
She said on each occasion that Khan was doing a good job indeed

That answer , IMO, would only fall short in satisfying someone if they were more interested in orchestrating some schism between the leaders of the UK and USA

She endorsed Khan on each occasion

I do not remember you being so picky when Corbyn was prevaricating on explicitly condemning the IRA and continually hiding in the way he answered things

I do not see May as strong and stable - but Corbyn is far less than the man of principle that some on here project him to be - more just yet another shallow politician that will say anything to avoid answering a question directly - bit like May (peas in a pod?)
