So will Sky loose the rights of the WWE?? Now the WWE Network is on? Whats the difference in paying for it and not??

Raw doesn't go straight on the Network, there is a 3 week delay. Sky still have live rights.

Think of it as WWE Netflix. All WWE WCW ECW PPVs ever are on there and a few years of Raw and Nitros.

You can also stream every PPV live

So sky still have the rights to everything. So you will still have to pay Sky for the PPVs. I cant see the WWE Network lasting long then. AS who would spend tenner on that and then a PPV a month on Sky. Its a good idea of the back catalog of the old PPVs and Raws and stuff but until they get rid of Sky it simpley wont work out here.

Sky still have Raw & Smackdown & there is a couple of week delay before these are on the network

Sky also have Main Event etc... but not NXT which is on the Network

Sky still have the PPV's & want £19.95 for the Rumble on Sunday. My guess is Mania will even more than this as they usally put it up a bit (Maybe £24.95 this year)

The Network shows all PPV's live (as well pre & post shows) so £9.99 a month for that alone is worth it.

Throw in every old PPV from WWE/WCW/ECW & all the stuff like the Monday Night Wars etc... then £9.99 a month is pretty good value.

Don't forget if you have got a smart tv, PS3/4, Xbox etc... you can watch through your tv like Netflix or use your Ipad etc...

Was on the phone so couldn't give proper details. The Network has all the live PPVs for free (obviously you pay monthly subscription cost). They stream in HD aswell and are properly good as they have a pre and post show panel thing.

And seriously though, even without the PPVs I'd pay for instant access on any device to the entire WWE tape library. Harley Race vs Flair at Starrcade 83 is an absolutely phenomenal match, proper strength based, leverage based old school wrestling with a proper ref. All WCW before 1995 and all WWF before 1985 is quality. The Slaughter/Patterson street fight where Slaughter nearly dies from blood loss in MSG is on there aswell. That's a proper fucking feud, fuck this Ascension/APA shite on now.

WWE own almost every tape library from wrestling past and they;'re putting the territory stuff on the Network. Watched Flair vs Von Erich in a cage from 85 with Hayes as referee the other day. Unbelievable heat, nothing at all like you hear today that is programmed into people, actual, proper heat where people give an actual shit.

Worth every penny mate. Worth double the price.

Damo glad you are enjoying the late 80's/early 90's stuff. NWA/WCW was my favourite federation back then but WWF had some great talent/booking back then also.
Monsoon/Heenan best commentary double act I've ever heard.

No mate, as others have said all ppv's are on the network. So a tenner a month or 20 quid to Sky for the Rumble...hmmm...

That list above only goes to early 90s now but I'm extending it into the 90s the on 1995 to include ECW then through the Monday Night War and the rest. Should hopefully have a few hundred really great matches linked when it's done.

Will probably put them on a website so that people can choose to be honest and share the fun.

But it's true that I adore the mid to late 80s in both federations in terms of how they presented their product. As you can see the list above is WCW heavy but does have WWF stuff in it. This Young Bucks type stuff is fucking wank to me as is much of the indies. It's moves without a point to them. Wrestling isn't about the moves it's about happens in between the moves.

Growing up on the Belle Vue stuff, give me a slow paced HBK vs Taker at WM25 every day in front of a TLC at WM X-8. I don't want to watch gymnastic, I want to be sucked into a story about two Gladiators fighting about something that matters. That's why I love Race/Flair so much. It told a story in the ring then planted seeds for feuds after without being insultingly over the top with it. The whole thing was perfect in my opinion.

With that said, I still think Clash of the Champions 1 was one of, if not the absolute best, wrestling shows that have ever been put on. Clash 1 was phenomenal.
