Genesis reformed

I'm going to see Hackett in Oxford doing Seconds Out so it will be interesting to contrast that with Genesis shortly after in Birmingham.

Tickets are obviously going well as they have already added six dates (could have predicted that yesterday). I managed to get presale tickets for Birmingham; was also trying for O2 simultaneously as an alternative and never go a sniff of those.

I'm afraid ticket prices for these mega bands are very high these days. They'd better put on a good show.
Must confess to weakening and buying a £136 ticket for the extra date at the MEN ! Always been my favourite band so would have been gutted to miss out . Looking forward just as much to Seconds Out at the Apollo , you can never hear Supper's Ready too many times . Got a good year coming up with my other favourites BJH playing at the RNCM . Just need City to smash UEFA for the icing on the cake.............

"I can't dance, I can't sing, I'm just standing here selling everything"

So far 16, 2 - 2 1/2 hr. shows, in 26 days.
Ambitious, and for the price I hope they can deliver for enjoyable evenings.
For what they were and how they are loved, anything less would be a rip-off.
I'm predicting a draw.

His voice won't be able to stand that much strain.
They had to cancel/abort shows half way through the Invisible Touch tour 34 years ago, and on that mini tour they did in late 92, because of his voice.
Have they bitten off more than they can chew
There may be a few more instrumentals than first thought. I genuinely fear for the fella.

Must admit there was an element of that in my decision not to buy a ticket. Already going to Hackett’s Seconds Out show in November and I know it will be immense. I fear it will be a sad sight watching Collins try and turn it on again.

I know they're knocking on a bit now, but I doubt they released Invisible Touch over three decades ago!
