watch that video I posted, there is serious looting and vandalism going on live in Providence, Rhode Island. They are breaking into shops, breaking everything. Guy just took a TV from some shop
 
They need better leadership to de-escalate all this now. Sadly, the only interpretation of that to the current US administration seems to be rather aggressive. Looking at the pictures you could almost forget there’s a pandemic.
 
that's pure vandalism right now in Providence. They are definitely not helping their cause with this. Robbing shops and setting fires at them.

It's also a disastrously self-fulfilling prophecy.

The routine use of violence over proper policing tactics only serves to attract yet more thugs to the police force.

Which, in turn, leads to more wanton violence and inevitably increases the likelihood of crimes such as George Floyd's murder taking place.

The likes of Derek Chauvin don't sign up to "protect and serve"; they sign up for the sense of power and freedom to crack heads that the position gives them.

Even more short term, people go out tonight and protest, and when they wake up tomorrow with no job or school to go to, no sports or socialising to distract then, they'll spend all day watching viral videos of police brutality from last night, and news stories about police escalating, or hear Trump escalating. So they will protest again tonight.

Have to say that was a fuckin joke, a shop is on fire - which people clearly live above and they stand around like fucking slack jawed yokels.....
