I’m surprised more people haven’t been killed, with the proliferation of firearms, how people aren’t defending themselves with them I don’t know, if I had a gun and they were beating my wife they’d be all dead now, self defence I believe it’s called.

Far left groups are horrible around public disorder they pretend to be good people but in truth just like hurting others the protest itself is a side issue to them.

There's a misconception among many of us when it comes to gun ownership in the US; it's nowhere near as common as we think.

While there's a LOT of guns out there, they're concentrated in relatively few hands; the vast majority of Americans don't own one. And those that do tend to be in more rural areas, where these riots aren't taking place. You also can't just wander around freely in public with a firearm in most places.

You're right and you're wrong on your points.

These are multifaceted feelings coming to the fore, here and in the States. It's about taking yourself out of the moment and seeing more than what you're told. You mention the brutality of police at football matches? You can relate to the protesters in the US; the police become energised with power of violence under the protection of the law.

The solidarity shown in places like London are multilayered, but the MSM make it JUST about the death of Mr George, when this is not true. People are taking the opportunity to voice their disapproval on the current system, whether that's an economic oppression or whatever it is, both in the States and here.

The lines have become muddied now.

And when the issues get muddied, as you say, it is very possible without clear leadership for all, not this dominate message being put out, for the benefit of his base, that the reasonable protest is taken out of the hands of reasonable people.

Last night’s display at Washington was calculated and purposely antagonistic.
He wanted to draw a reaction and in effect didn’t get one, but proceeded with the charade that they were meeting force with force.
It’ll come to the point though if this isn’t calmed down that in a black community police force will be met with force.
