Last week was a largely peaceful protest despite the debate since concentrating on the idiots. This week the EDL types are turning up tooled up for a fight, and the general anti-establishment arseholes at the other end of the spectrum will be using BLM as a cover story for a riot.

It was peaceful. The minority of statue wreckers and rioters just made more interesting news. I agree with upholding public order by the way, but the police tread a difficult line in these situations. Bear in mind the majority were there protesting after an incident of police brutality in the states and importing that grievance. A few cracked (possibly black) skulls last weekend could have lit the blue touchpaper on something much worse. I think dragging a statue out of the harbour and cleaning/boarding up a few more is a price worth paying for the moment.

It most certainly has hasn't it bud, police taking a knee and then getting attacked for it and what looked like all sorts of vandalism gone unpunished in the main. This isn't going to end well, it could have been prevented.

The far right and the far left have gotten us sandwiched between them and the government have been useless, I criticised the BLM and the rentamob last week because they decided to forgo social distancing and this mob are no different.
