I agree.
With the likes of Haaland and Foden making runs off the shoulder of the defence Kinky would have had a field day threading passes through. No way was he just a dribbler.
And although he wasn't a great defender he occasionally put the odd little naught dig in.
With the right motivator (Pep) he would have had the ability to fit in to today's team.
I also think Stephen Ireland could too - but maybe I'm being too hopeful there!!

I like this post but I'm not sure about the Stevie Ireland part.

Kinkladze is a fond memory but the idea he was anywhere near the best we have seen in a blue shirt is just insane. In over a 100 premier league games he had less than 10 goals and only 4 in the top flight for us. Great entertainer but he was sadly not the great player we all wanted him to be. Benarbia I would have loved to see what he could have done at his peak , we got the last knockings of a wonderful player but past the point he could do it week in week out in the top flight.

Got to agree, think it's down to how poor we were at the time.

Ali would have been 'Dave Silva' in our recent teams, Kinky more of an Eyal player.

2 things can be true at the same time.

Kinkladze easily the best City player I've seen (since 1985) at beating players with skill/his feet.

Also, his work rate and general overall play means he would have been unlikely to have fit into this team.

Though with 5 years under Pep in his early days, who knows?
