I don't believe it is oppression. As I said in a couple of posts earlier, looking beautiful "while outdoors" is third in priority when it comes to clothing.
Qur'an 7:26 "O children of Adam, We have bestowed upon you clothing to conceal your private parts and as adornment. But the clothing of righteousness - that is best."
Pleasing and delightful are subjective terms.
To those who look for piety in women, they will find it pleasing.
We don't like the purdah/burqah because it doesn't belong to our culture. I like Salwar Kameez. My wife wears the same with a full sleeve and a head scarf when she goes to work. I find it very pleasing and so does she. I find head scarf a symbol of piety.
Gazing at non-mahram women is not allowed for men.
Masturbation is not allowed for men.
Watching pornography is not allowed for men.
Probably all these laws must have been instigated by females, as they look oppressive to men right ?
