In the 2nd half he made a challenge on a Wigan player, yes he won the ball, but he took the man too.

When the referee blew for the free kick and booked Gerrard what happened next is the interesting part. Is it just me or did Gerrard actually give the referee the fingers?

And if so, how the hell did he not recieve a yellow, or more likely a red?

I saw this too but as with most dippers the FA will review and deem nothing wrong a la Mascherano on Barry..

I'm so glad they got beat last night, not necessarily because it helps our cause but mainly because its about time they realise they are no longer the force of old and they dont have a god given right of being in the Champions League.

Its on the back page of the Mail. He certainly did give the fingers. Wonder what the FA will do to England star Steven ' throw myself to the floor' Gerrard? Im not holding my breath.

Gerrard looks like he's lost all faith, he's a shadow of the inspirational player that has been the heartbeat of liverpools team for god knows how many years.

i watched this with a few mates and picked up on that last night. my mates denied it happened but i knew he did. think he mouthed "fuck off" too
 
Atleast in the picture he's not giving the finger but pointing to his eyes. Didnt see the incident but if the picture is all that there's is to it then there's no harm done.
 
Definately flicked the V's but nothing will happen guaranteed!!

Now if it was Ade it would be a 5 match ban!!

Dear God I hope your joking, one of, if not the most overated players ever in mho, we have had some planks over the years, but he would make even Crocky sata cruise look like a good buy.

There corrected for accuracy

Even some on rawk are questioning his pace and commitment at the moment.

I was one of his biggest admirers but dont think he is half the player he was two years ago and he is almost 30 now so questions should be asked if he can still perform at top level.

Pffft at 29 Gerrard can absolutely certianly still play at the top level. He might well be past his peak and he might be disillusioned at Liverpool which is affecting his performances, but he's still one of the best
