Your chance to get a shot of you like this for just £5!

The premier league trophy is at the David Lewis Centre near Alderly Edge this Sunday. You can get your picture taken with it for £5, which goes to the charity. David Lewis (where I sometimes work) provides services for children and adults with learning difficulties, autism and neurological problems, including epilepsy. The trophy is there as part of a 5 a side football tournament, with a few celebs included.

There will also be top quality bacon sarnies on sale.

The trophy is there from 11 til 3 complete with (expensive!) security. I think the Coronation Street team have ducked out of the tournament though.

Fantastic way to spend a Saturday! Unfortunately, the trophy won't be there till Sunday ;-)

There's also a Treasure Hunt for Children, a football skills workshop and various other stuff apart from the actual football tournament.

The sun will shine and the david lewis centre is a lovely place in the heart of the Cheshire countryside, so loads of good reasons to drop in. Although admittedly, the trophy -picture opportunity is the main one. It comes with the Barclays PL background that was used at the presentation!

It's great that having the trophy can boost charity income like this.

One slight note of caution though, in order to manage peoples expectations, it might be prudent to mention that people won't actually be able to lift it like Vinnie in the photo. Hands on the handles might be the best you're able to manage if the photos at the stadium are anything to go by. And sometimes you can't even touch it.

The Security told me "You can't lift it up."

So, me thinking it was somehow FIXED to the base, lifted it up and said, "Sure you can, look!"

He almost had a coronary! :-)

i hope they give us little replica keyring trophys in our new ticket packs....maybe with a built in little led torch or bottle opener (something useful) ... i liked the USB thingy they gave us last season....still have that (although dog chewed it a bit)
