How easy is it to get from Piccadilly Station to the ground? I'm going on the train on my own later this month, I usually go with my Dad by car but he can't make it so it's just me this time. Is it easily directed? I imagine I will be able to follow a load of City fans there anyway but, as I said, never been by train so just a bit worried I might get lost...

walk to piccadilly gardens where the weatherspoons is and get the direct bus for sportcity.

Its £1.

get to pic gardens and next to the kro bar they run match day specials
£1 each way u pick it up coming back from the main road opposite the south stand
loads of fans get it so u wont get stuck

I'm an American who had never been to Manchester before until last summer, and I took the train from Oxford to Piccadilly by myself. I had called the club ahead of time for directions and they recommended either taking the bus or walking. I opted for walking because I'm cheap, and I had absolutely zero problems locating the stadium. Just follow the SportCity stickers that you'll find on signs and poles. You should be fine. If you're coming from the south you can even see the stadium off to your right as the train approaches the station.
