The OP says block 117 so ideal for the getaway. Book a private hire car to be waiting across Ashton New Road at the chippy for 21 50. Game unlikely to be over so road not blocked. Make sure he turns right at the end of Every Street onto Great Ancoats St and left at Adair Street for the Fairfield Street (taxi rank) entrance. Still gives you time to run it if he doesn't turn up, but there's often a taxi or two waiting for hire on Ashton New Road near the Merc garage. Taxi is about 4 or 5 quid, loads around Piccadily and on Ashton Old Road after the game. Leave 3 or 4 minutes before the end and you will beat the traffic and fans in the road...............
