Driving straight from work - any ideas on where to park?

Lots of parking along Stan Matthews way in industrial units but can be a pain to get away after the game.
Its a crap location but luckily for me one game a season I can walk to.

If you're on about the Roebuck "student" pub on the crossroads mate (on the right when you leave the station), then it's been knocked down about 6 months ago!! Plenty of pubs in Stoke town centre and away fans shouldn't get any bother unless they look for it! Allow time to get to the ground though if you walk from the station as it's quite a way.

Is anyone chancing the M6?

For Villa, Birmingham and Wolves the traffic on the M6 was chuffing apalling - 50 mph average speed check every few miles. Wont be able to leave till about 5.30 because of work so might be cutting it a bit fine. I'm thinking of going down the A34 via Congleton. Anyone tried this route before?

Depends where you are setting off from. Avoid Alderley Edge at all costs.

I'm getting changed at work, then setting off straight away. So, about 5:01 (I change quicker than Superman!).
