He was actually better when he was injured. Wasn't taking up space on the pitch that could be more usefully occupied.
I've always wanted to talk to Swansea fans about him. Many of them said “You're getting a really good player there”. Were they just trolling us or what?

Though I thought it was quite cool/funny that we were going to see an ex Ballon d'Or/WFotY play in a City shirt I wasn't too giddy as I had no expectations that it was going to turn out well and sadly that turned out to be the case. At least we can say we've had a president play for us as well as a the King :-)
 
Aguero I watched him at A. Madrid and never thought we would be able to get him. I was thrilled when we did.
 
I remember being quite pleased when we signed Dibble. Wasnt long after his lge cup final penalty save for Luton and I thought he could be our keeper for years. First 2 seasons he was fairly solid but after Kendall signed Coton and Reid promoted Margetson above him he should have moved on for the sake of his career. Instead he seemed to hang around for years. Also wonder how much the Gary Crosby goal at Forest affected him. Dibble had a fair few supporters in Coton's early days as TC took a while to win the crowd over.

I remember getting pretty giddy over Dzeko, actually. Aguero, obviously, and Pep was arguably the giddiest moment of all.

Haaland is up there though. I'm absolutely desperate to see him play, already wishing the summer away just so I can get to the Etihad and watch him live for the first time. I think the fact that we all had to wait that extra year for the "Aguero replacement", coupled with the fact that he's obviously *so damn good* just makes this one an extra special signing.
 
Tevez I thought immediately - but perhaps the Haaland transfer matches the excitement

Indeed - once that was announced for me it confirmed that we were going to move to a different level
 
Has to be Robinho. Came from nowhere just after the takeover announcement, we went from being optimistic of a mid table finish to this is the start of something meaningful within 24 hours.

Haaland is right up there though, the most exciting transfer since peps come in.

I've posted about this before, but I can remember ever so clearly Marsh scoring that great goal against United at their place (we won). A night game. Unusually, I was in the paddock along the side, don't know why. He cuts across the 18 yard line of their area and simply whacks it into the far corner. I had a wonderful view of the scoreboard end — still not covered at that point — which was just a solid mass of blue going crazy.
