Having a criminal record seems to be a requirement on the CV for somebody wanting or engaging in a career in broadcasting.

Gino D'Acampo - Convicted of burgling Paul Young's home and stealing his guitars in 1998. Served 2 years in prison.
Stephen Fry - Convicted of credit card theft. Served 3 months in prison.
David Dickinson - Convicted of mail order fraud. Served 3 years in prison.
Huw Edwards - Convicted of possessing indecent images of children. Admitted guilt and spared jail.
Stuart Hall - Convicted of multiple sexual offences against children. Srved 2 1/2 years in prison.
Alex Belfield - Convicted of stalking 4 people including Jeremy Vine in 2022. Sentenced to 5 1/2 years in prison.
Rolf Harris - Convicted of sexual assault against children. Served 3 years in prison.
Leslie Grantham - Convicted of murdering a German taxi driver. Served 10 years in prison.
Jimmy Savile - Nuff said.

Several of those didn't have their criminal records before starting in broadcasting.

Barely know of him at all. All I know is that I love pizza and I will eat pretty much anything and do not believe in food waste. I had to throw one of his branded pizzas in the bin a couple of years ago because it tasted that disgusting.
