Didn't see a thread about it. That was a nervous moment with the head-to-head collision. Glad he's okay or at least okay enough to see out the half.

Indeed. I think he and Savic are good additions. My only concern now is adding a bit more to attack which is easily solved if we sign Aguero (and hopefully Nasri.) Suarez also looked really nice today in limited action.

One thing that occurs to me is if Clichy has a head injury, he might not be able to fly back with the team right away.

+1, was a little bit worried about Micah also, but he looked like he ran his knock off.
I was worried about that one, too. Honestly, head injuries scare me quite a bit. I had a friend die from one a few years ago. Hit his head, we thought he was okay, and a few hours later he wasn't.

Honestly, I think the City medical staff needs its collective heads examined-pun intended. Clichy was clearly CONCUSSED and they put him back into a bullshit practcie game. I dont understand what the hell they were thinking....

You listen too much to American Sports commentators.

Agreed, you can't tell if someone is concussed just by watching them from 100ft away. He was a bit punchy after the collision and lost his balance for a few seconds, he was then fine. If there was any danger of concussion (or worse still compression) he would have been taken off.

Hope he will have no after effects in the future, as it looked scary when he was staggering around like a punch-drunk boxer.

About the only sensible comments from the mug US comms were questioning how strange it was to bring him back into the game after what could easily have been a serious concussion.

Plenty of times a player will feel ok upon regaining their senses and be able to play on but suffer headaches and other problems later on, lets hope this wont be the case for Gael ......

Lads with all due respects ur talking nonsense.last month I spent a week with the US's leading expert on concussion in sports, and watched video of guys who've developed stuff worse than Alzheimer's as a direct result.I watched umpteen brains opened up and you could clearly see the damage caused.this is the type of stuff tv doesnt want you to see.it's a huge taboo in US right now.I was there in Jan and can tell u athletes I was dealing with are bloody terrified in light of new facts on the subject.it's not just combat/impact blows either,it's the damage ur own skull inflicts on the brain during impact.

Clichy should have been immediately taken off and anyone who suggested otherwise on our staff should be fired for incompetance.

Nope not got any medical qualification but I've been heavily educated on concussion in sports and it's effects by people far more qualified than our teams medical staff.it was a moronic decision to leave him on.aside from the health risk to clichy it was hardly the champs league final.

I'm damned sure he has a concussion. Now a lot of people have played and will play with concussions, but it is dangerous.

Well I'm glad Gael is okay, but I want yall to know that we gave that number 16 hell from then on, to the point were he pointed to us pitchside and made an apologetic gesture... it was great fun

me too. I've really been impressed with Clichy so far. Its nice to have a mobile left back for a change.
