His favourite cover since his '05 comeback seems to have been Subway Train by New York Dolls (followed by Everyday is Like Sunday).

Mrs Jots was asking last night 'What's missing from this version of This Charming Man?'. Simple answer: The Smiths.

Anyone with doubts about Andy Rourke's bass playing, pay close attention:

That Rourke never received a writing credit for this is a crime.

I've just finished watching it now. His voice was in good form and I really liked his choice of songs for the set. It just seemed a very understated and diffident show. Maybe it's me - I am still annoyed he agreed to be in a support slot.

Morrissey will never be a festival artist - he (like the Smiths were) will always be more suited to the intimacy of a small venue

It was a great gig though (from what I saw on TV). And although I'm not the biggest fan of his current band, they seem to have grown into the songs, if that makes sense. I still think Alain Whyte's absence is notable though.

I enjoyed the great man's performance, but I think he made a pigs ear of "Satellite of Love".

Yeah, I thought that. Really enjoyed his set, but that cover was poor.
