They have some very risky financing in place that costs them a packet in interest. They aren't actually paying this interest but are adding it to the capital. At some point (possibly no later than summer next year) they have to repay this. They've supposedly tried to re-finance these loans twice and failed as no one is willing to cough up the couple of hundred of million that they need. If they can't repay then the shares that the money is secured on will be under the control of the hedge funds that provided the finance. Hopefully, if that happens, they will sell off everything to get their money back. Wouldn't that be awful if it happened?
