The same could happen to any bunch of away fans going to any match.
Wasn't it always, innocent til proven guilty?

Funny isn't it that GMP can act before a crime has been committed but when some BinDipper burgles your house you won't get them round looking for dabs. Oh no, you will need a crime number sir for the insurance company! Servants of the people -just another fascist joke!

The stoke in irlam werent your everyday fans trying to get to a match.

By all accounts the rags smashing up the Brittania means any blues going to stoke can expect a very rough ride off the o.b there.

Think boro away last year!

More often then not they get it right and they have admitted its wrong what they did. It's a fuckin hard job and those that slag them off, why don't you become a copper? Let me guess??.. Your mates probably wouldnt talk to you because you'd be a 'rozzer' or a 'pig'. So, you cant be bothered making a difference so stop your moaning.

i saw all this, and was accross the road as the police were trying to control them,

the article is BS, firstly irlam is widely out of the way for a coach full of stokes fans to 'stop off' for a beer, there were around 100 stoke fans.......they stopped off one hour before the game...irlam is about 20-30mins from old trafford??!

now i only know what i asked around but apparently they were getting roudy, and getting pushy with the locals, i heard the stoke fans had to hold one of their own back from causeing a fight......which is when the police were called.....

thats what i got told from asking around.....but they stopped off in a pub which is far from the motorway, and totally out of the way when goin to OT....everybody in irlam seemed to think they were their to cause trouble........

I didnt hang around n got off to the pub to watch the match.......so i only know what i was told!

Whatever happened to civil liberties and peoples right of movement you fascist bastard?
Just 'cos one happens to follow football doesn't mean one is hell-bent on chaos.

I was in Manchester coming back from the game against us and a small group of Stoke fans where taken off in vans at the corner of Dale Street going towards the Station, and they had done nothing that I could tell, other than walk towards the Railway Station. Therefore, I think it's fair to say the GMP took all the mouthing that Stoke, where doing seriously and made their point with them.
