A nazi is someone who supports the ideal of the national socialist party of germany and after it's colapse the ideology whic shows a dislike of a liberal democracy and parliamenty control of the system, aligned with an idea of a master race and distain and hatred for those that do not fit into that perscribing the use of ethnic/eugenic cleansing of a society to purify it. A strongly facist form of nationalism
I have already said if dicks are calling brexiters nazis it's fucking stupid and see why you being called one in the brexit thread upsets you and others as it is pathetic and stops real debate.
However the word should not be then classed as forbiden and when in it's proper context is a valid tag for someone.

Yes they have along with fascists.
To be fair, I can't remember many (any?) occasions where someone has explicitly been called a Nazi on here for wanting to leave the EU?

I've no issue with that and we at least agree about its use on here as a slur against posters whose only supposed crime is to hold a different opinion.

Like Yaxley-lennon he is a late comer to Brexit and the Yellow Vest idea - simply adopting disguises to infiltrate existing groups of protesters to try and get them to support their main cause which is simply anti-Islam.
The truth is though a number of leavers are racists. Their racist views on immigration are what drove some people to vote leave. Leavers don’t seem to want to recognise this in any shape or form. Now I say this with utter belief because I know people in real life like this, sadly my own grandma. To be clear I don’t personally know anyone on here that falls into this category.
Of course Nazi has much stronger meaning than racist. And people are wrong to just throw it around.
Point being though in this whole Brexit mess people are being labelled; sometimes fairly, often not. So while you’re trying to defend Goddard, or rather ask for everyone to be treated equally in your view, you’re ignoring the fact that this guy is poisonous and is an actual racist (nazi I don’t know) who has hounded an elderly woman in public and acted in a threatening manner towards her. Sadly his actions have given him exposure and is yet just one more example of the alt right’s rise in this country. Labels aside, this is a real and present danger to our democracy. It was only a few years ago poor Jo Cox was murdered!
I genuinely don't recall anyone explicitly being called "a Nazi" on here for supporing Brexit, so feel free to quote me some specific examples and I'll happily retract that if I've got it wrong.
