I detested the two from Blackpool but strangely they're now my favourites..

The two from Leeds are doing my nut in at the minute... and is it just me or do they look like they are trying to eat their way through the pandemic?

The blonde/pink one used to be pretty fit but not any more

I really like the Siddiquis, seem really nice blokes and always good comments. The dad is a nice fella too

The one on the right has literally just had a baby

I’m getting sick of the woman from Swindon? (The thatched house)... she’s a proper mardarse

I bumped into her in the town where we live last year-she's actually really pleasant. Her husband uses the DIY shop up the road from us. I think they live in a village about 5 miles away.

Hampshire is a county I don’t think I’ve visited, but it looks lovely . It’s on my list

Well we're now in Wiltshire, but I haven't changed my user name. We were previously near Winchester and it was a really good place to live and work. Retirement led to us downsizing and moving 40 miles north

Definitely something a bit odd about him with his exaggerated shows of shock at anything remotely scary.
It’s mostly scripted, this. Or at lease rehearsed and they say “yes, that’s good leave that in”, “no, that’s no good leave that out” “try that again, only this time really act like you’re scared/shocked/laughing”...

None or little of the reactions are natural. Much of it is like watching the world’s worst actors attempting to act.

A workmate’s husband works in television and he’s said in the past that next to nothing on television isn’t scripted and/or rehearsed anymore. Programmes like Love Island and Big Brother are given plots to ad lib along to the story line given to them.

Even comedy panel game shows are rehearsed and they add in scripted jokes and pretend they’re off the cuff. You don’t notice the first time you watch it, but if you ever watch a repeat of a comedy panel game show on Dave or wherever, you can tell. And you can tell with Gogglebox on first viewing, that it’s a second or third viewing for them of the thing they’re pretending to react to a first time.

I noticed when I used to watch Mock the Week how obviously scripted and edited it was. The only two in gogglebox who seem remotely natural are Lee and Jenny in the caravan, obviously better actors

They film it all in block sessions with the cast having a change of clobber to kid you its over time.
