Going to Hamburg?

Hi,

I'm thinking of heading over to Hamburg for the game. Just wondering which flights are best to get there? Has the game been confirmed on the 9th? Will end up staying Thursday and Friday night to make the most of it.

As an exiled Blue who´s lived in Hamburg for nearly 9 years,i´d be happy to help you guys with any info you want on what´s going to be a F*****g brilliant night.Some of you,i guess,will have been to Hamburg for the friendly last year and maybe the K.K game some years back.But for those who haven´t been here before and maybe dont want to get ripped off on the Reeperbahn,i can point you towards a few decent boozers (German and Irish),cheap and cheerful hotels travelling around,getting to and from the game etc.

Hi Dubaiblue,

The Irish Rover is not bad - the best thing about is the Fish and Chips which are the best in Hamburg.

The best Irish pub by a mile in Hamburg in the Shamrock (on Feldstrasse).Google Shamrockirishpub.de They´ve got the normal beers plus Sky Sports and Setanta.The Shamrock is not a million miles from where your staying - the only bad news is it will pobably only be open from about 6p.m.

why go all the way to hamburg and drink in an irish bar, you can do that in manchester, we found some great local bars in copenhagan amd aalborg, and also in hanburg least year. the people were great and we had a brill time.
